"KNOW YOUR GRID”

A Public Safety Campaign

Safety For The Rural Life Style
Improve “Golden Hour” Response Times
Find Your Grid Number For Free

In case of emergency:

If you have your GPS coordinates, use them first.
Your GPS coordinates are your precise location.

Using the "Know Your Grid" location can only get the emergency responders to your 1-mile section.

Please enter your Township Range and Section.  The corresponding grid will be your grid on the Road Guide.

When reporting emergencies if you are not using your GPS coordinates then add this to your address, for example "1212 Abrigo Lane at Grid B13".

To obtain your GPS Coordinates for your property follow these steps:

1.  Go to the Mohave County Assessors website at http://www.co.mohave.az.us/depts/assessor/prop_info.asp
2.  Type in your Assessors Parcel Number (APN)
3.  Click on the “Click For Map” next to “Parcel Number”
4.  When the map is displayed the property identified in red is your property.
5.  Click on the Xy symbol just below the word “INTERACTIVE”
6.  Click on your property. The pop-up box will tell you the GPS Coordinates for the center of your property.
7.  Write this down in the inside cover of the Mohave County, AZ Road Guide
8.  Show everyone in your home where the road guide is and tell them what your GPS and the "Know Your Grid" locations are.  If you have close friends and relatives, tell them also.

Finally:  When reporting an emergency, dial 911 and tell them your street address, your GPS coordinates and your “Know Your Grid” location for the fastest live saving response.
